Regional Park & Open Space District

Sector: Public

Services: Essential Identity Design

Deliverables: Logo system | Basic brand rollout assets (print + digital)

The Brief

The Regional Park & Open Space District (RPOSD) funds parks projects across Los Angeles County, from neighborhood recreation centers to major open-space conservation initiatives. The program needed a public-facing identity that aligned with the Department of Parks and Recreation while clearly distinguishing RPOSD as the source of funding behind many park improvements.

My Direction

Working with its core team, I developed a visual identity centered on RPOSD’s role of supporting park projects that bring tranquility, adventure, and renewal to communities across LA County. The identity system was designed to be approachable and recognizable while maintaining the credibility essential for a public institution.

The Result

  • Cohesive Brand Identity: A clear, adaptable, and friendly design system inspired by LA County’s unique landscapes to streamline RPOSD communications.

  • Clearer Connections: Making it easier for the public to recognize RPOSD’s role in the parks and projects they love.
