Process

Strong branding should be useful, not just look good.

It should support the real work you’re doing in the real world, connect with the right people, and hold up over time. Clients often come to me when something no longer fits, even if it’s hard to put a finger on why. When we work together, we'll clarify what you're about, who you're speaking to, and where your work will live. With every project, the goal is always the same: design that helps your ideas land and springboards you into what you're building next.

1. Get Oriented

We begin by establishing clarity on foundational questions like: What do you do? Who do you want to reach? Where are you now and where do you want to go next? I gather the intelligence needed to define a creative direction, ensuring our starting point is rooted in strategy, not just a list of requests.

2. Plan

I plot out a custom path forward—defining scope, priorities, and benchmarks. I break the work into milestones that are manageable yet keep the project moving. This allows me to manage the logistics and even pivot the roadmap when needed, ensuring we stay aligned and focused on the finish line.

3. Design & Refine

This is where the preparation of previous steps comes to life. I synthesize our strategy into visual form, maintaining a structured feedback loop to ensure the work is hitting the mark.

4. Equip

You leave with the specific assets and tools needed to move your brand forward. My goal is to ensure you’re fully prepared to implement the work, manage your brand with clarity, and lead your next chapter with confidence.

From branding to consulting

From branding to consulting:

“Helen helped us to beautifully tighten up a website that was jammed full with too much information and lacked a clear style direction. She created a framework that broke what felt like a daunting task into bite-size assignments, helping us clarify our story.

Her design aesthetic is current and clean, and she helped us pay attention to the details that matter in order to create an appealing, easy-to-navigate home base for our work.”
